Safadista Productions is a full service video production studio specializing in producing advertising and editorial video for promotional packages, marketing campaigns, tablet magazines and blogs.

Alexa Inkeles brings 7 years of comprehensive film, documentary, commercial and Internet video production and management experience to Safadista Productions. She is a new media producer who does it all – create, produce, direct, shoot, edit and deliver. Some of her clients include Rhapsody.com, Showtime, MTV, TurnHere, Mekanism, and Wired Magazine.

Alexa earned a BA in Community Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her first short documentary, Our Life, A Hidden Life, about a human rights organization in Brazil won her honors in the major and went on to premiere at Frameline International Film Festival in San Francisco. It has since screened around the world. Her subsequent two short films also premiered at Frameline, then went on to screen in New York’s New Fest, London’s BFI LGBT Film Festival, and Chicago’s Reeling Film Festival. She is currently in post-production on a short she adapted and directed based off of the novel Valencia by Michelle Tea.

Her interests include magical realism, tipping points, youth culture and trends, light and color, environment and nature, and the effects of technology in popular culture.
